SOMA has reached an agreement with Ymtaco for Trading and Investment Ltd. in Saudi Arabia for the supply of its fully automated S-Mount plate mounter.
The equipment is designed for flexographic printing operations and automates the plate mounting process, helping printers reduce manual intervention during job preparation. According to SOMA, the S-Mount system also works with the company’s IRIS technology, enabling fully automated register and impression setting on the printing press.
The company said the system is intended to reduce setup times and support consistent print quality from the first print. For converters and printers, automated plate mounting can help improve job changeover efficiency, particularly in production environments handling multiple jobs and shorter runs.
The agreement reflects continued interest in automation and process control within the Saudi Arabian printing and flexible packaging sector. SOMA thanked the Ymtaco team for its trust and said it looks forward to supporting the company’s move towards greater efficiency and productivity.
